Now there are three efforts underway to get the use of recreational marijuana on the ballot in Maine.

First, it was a national organization called "The Marijuana Policy Project" that made the push, then, a group called ‘Legalize Maine’  began their own effort to get the question on the ballot and now, Rep. Mark Dion of Portland is talking with legislators about another proposed bill.

In Dion's bill, there is a proposed 10% tax on it and asks residents about creation and regulation of pot.

The Maine Association of Dispensary Operators is in support of Dion and hopes it will get the question to the voters before November of 2016.
