This looks like it's going to be an amazing event... and a lot of fun. Saturday (Dec. 13) at the Augusta Civic Center, it's the the Maine Robotics Expo featuring a breakfast with Maine Comedian Tim Sample. Breakfast will be held from 8:00am - 9:00am with the championship following from 9:30am - 3:30pm.

Maine Robotics and the Robotics Institute of Maine are hosting the event including Maine's FIRST® LEGO® League Championship, the Central Maine VEX Tournament and a Project Login event. Over 70 Maine FIRST LEGO League teams will be participating in this year’s challenge.

Maine Robotics has been around for about a decade and seeks to meet the growing needs of the educational robotics community in the state. Maine Robotics mission is to promote growth and interest in the sciences of engineering and computers and to provide opportunities to instruct teachers, coaches, and mentors in the skills necessary to in turn mentor and teach the youth of Maine.

Tim Sample will be on hand for the kick-off breakfast and will have a book signing at the conclusion of the event, Tim's new book is called 'Answers to Questions Nobody was Askin’' In this new collection of short essays, Tim shares some of the quirkier aspects of growing up and living in Maine.
