Music legend Tina Turner is saying peace out to the U.S. and securing citizenship in the greener pastures of Switzerland.

ABC News reports that Turner, 73, has been living in the peaceful European country for years now with her longtime love, German music manager Erwin Bach, and is finally ready to make it official.

Her rep told Swiss newspaper Zuerichsee-Zeitung that the 'Proud Mary' singer wanted to “clarify her situation.”

The rep explained, “Tina Turner will therefore also give back her U.S. citizenship.”

Turner, born Anna Mae Bullock in Nutbush, Tenn., spoke with German newspaper Blick about the move. She told press, “I am very happy in Switzerland and I feel at home here. I could not imagine a better place to live.”

She could have just said that it's simply the best. Better than all the rest. But we guess that part was implied.
