UPDATE (Sunday 9/10/17 2:40 PM): The Maine Turnpike Authority is now reporting the road is open.

We're hearing reports of a serious accident Northbound on I-95 between exits 112 and 113.  It appears the accident involved some of the 300 motorcycle riders on today's toy run.

Augusta FD and EMS are on scene and at least one Lifeflight helicopter has been dispatched to airlift the victims to Maine Medical Center.

According to the KJ, the motorcycles had just left the Augusta Civic Center and were attempting to merge on to the I-95, when 4 motorcycle were hit by a pickup truck.  Six people have been transported to the hospital, some with serious injuries.

Please keep those involved in your thoughts.
