Veterans Job Fair at Augusta Armory, Tuesday, June 17

A job fair, geared mainly toward Veterans will be held at the Augusta Armory, on Western Ave., this week. Organizers say, although the focus is on veterans, everyone is welcome to attend!

The job fair will take place from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Tuesday, June 17 and will include 40 employers and career resource tables. The Maine Bureau of Human Resources, Maine Department of Labor, Maine Military and Community Network, and Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve are hosting the event.

Organizers say it will give Veterans and their families a chance to learn about government job opportunities in security, law enforcement, engineering, transportation, and other fields. But everyone is welcome to attend, not just Veterans.

First Lady Ann LePage is scheduled to speak at the event.
