Video Of Iconic Boothbay Harbor Building Being Demolished
I suppose it is called progress. But as someone who has been going to Boothbay Harbor since I was little, and also bartended at McSeagull's for 10 summers, it is sad to watch an old building go down.
Romar Bowling Lanes, a candle pin alley on 19 Bridge Street in Boothbay Harbor and owned by Charlie Rowe and his family for 70 years, was demolished earlier today. Since Rowe’s death in 2011, the space has been empty. According to the Boothbay Register, new owners are expected to rebuild and add shops and possible apartments.
