The Humane Society of Waterville Area is hosting their 7th Annual Open House this Saturday, Dec. 7 from 1-5 p.m You don’t want to miss this event!

This year Kathleen Ross, just hired as the new director, as well as the rest of the staff and volunteers would like to invite you to see the changes they have made and continue to make as your local shelter.

Can you imagine how to care for over 150 animals at a time?  How many hands, hearts and money it takes on a daily basis? Some of them may require a little extra care than others. Since the shelter is a non-profit organization they need community support from you. This event will be a fundraising event for the shelter to keep the mission alive.

There will be activities for everyone, bring the whole family. Some of the activities include: dog sled demonstrations, cookie decorating and crafts for the children, carolers, a blessing of the animals and so much more! Enjoy a wagon ride with Hemphill’s draft horses just in time for the season. Laura from the Red Barn will be there with her famous seafood stew and baked goods! Indulge in some treats from Hillman’s Bakery then have your pictures taken with Santa.

Come check out all the auction and raffle items available from Chantal’s Pet Grooming, Flo’s Flower Cart, L. Tardif Jeweler, Paradis Outfitters, Aubuchon Hardware, Tractor Supply, Waterville Florist, The Pressy House, Buddies Groceries, Jin Yuan, Visions Flower and Bridal Designs, Levesque Spas and KMD Car Care….to name a few,  just in time for the holidays!

Electricity Maine will even be there to help show their support with donations for everyone who signs up at the event!

Please join us from 1-5 p.m. this Saturday at 100 Webb Road in Waterville, to support your local shelter.
