Original Story

The Waterville Police Department is asking the public for help. They have released security footage of a couple allegedly involved in a purse snatching inside Walmart, Waterville. On Nov. 6 a woman accidentally left her purse containing credit cards, gift cards and $850 in cash and later it was stolen.

According to store surveillance video and the police, the woman who allegedly stole the purse is described as 'white and heavy-set with long brown hair, wearing a white or light-colored jacket and was pushing a cart with a pink baby seat in it.' After picking up the purse the suspect made 'contact with a male who is white, with a thin build and short brown hair.' Deputy police Chief Charles Rumsey said, "He had a female child with him, 3 to 5 years old."

Police say the couple left the parking lot in a green, four-door car, possibly a Grand Am or Grand Prix, with silver rims.
