Your wedding. What is supposed to be a memory of a lifetime turned into memories the bride and groom would like to forget. Friday night (Nov. 23) brawls broke out during a wedding reception in Herman, ME. That led to the arrest of two of the guests.

Management at Morgan Hill Event Center had to call police because several wedding guests were fighting. Some using beer bottles as weapons.

Responding were other Penobscot County sheriff’s deputies and at least one Maine State Police trooper. Also helping to end the fray were officers from the Bangor, Brewer and Hampden police departments.

In what was probably the understatement of the evening, Sgt. Michael Burgess of the Penobscot County Sheriff’s Department told the Bangor Daily News:

I’m sure that alcohol was on-board.
