Wednesday’s Warm Weather Caused Some Schools to Close Early

Gees I was happy for a snow day when I was a kid, but Wednesday (Sept 9) some schools because of  it was soooo hot. Schools in North Berwick, Berwick and Lebanon closed early on Wednesday because the temperature in classrooms had reached uncomfortable levels.

Now that the summer season is over and the fairs are here and the kids are back in school we get our summer heat?! In fact, the National Weather Service says the region is seeing the hottest weather of the year. Some Maine communities had official heat waves this week, with three consecutive days of 90-plus-degree weather. (AP)
