What Cosmetic Procedure is Done the Most in New England? Answer May Be Surprising
What do you think is the most performed procedure in New England when it comes to plastic surgery? Hint: It’s not a breast augmentation.
According to the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, breast augmentations nationally are most performed plastic surgery procedures but up here in the northeast it is nose jobs or “nose resizings.” In 2014, 63,652 of the 320,000 cosmetic surgeries done were nose resizings in the northeast. (New England, New York, New Jersey and Pennsylvania)
Breast augmentations came in second place and took up 41,804 of the 320,000 and in third place came eyelid surgeries at 37, 236 procedures. Overall the largest procedure done in a plastic surgeon’s office in the northeast was Botox.
In 2014 nationally 15.6 million plastic or cosmetic procedures were done. That is up 3% over the numbers in 2013.
However, the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery says, the 2014 numbers are down from 2013.
Cosmetic surgery is a private matter I understand but I'll still ask the question, would you ever consider cosmetic surgery?
