I can honestly say, with all the strange disputes I've heard about (not surprisingly, most from the State of Florida), I've never heard of anything like this...    Some residents of Yarmouth are not happy with their neighbors - all over an upcoming parade!

According to WGME, some residents of Yarmouth are not happy about the long-running tradition of people staking out their spots for the clam festival parade weeks or months in advance.  Supposedly, some people put out chairs or rope off their spots as early as January!

While some residents are annoyed by the practice, others are all for it.

Local law enforcement says people doing it are not breaking the law, but they are asking people not to do it.
