Well, this past weekend I saw a photo at an event that celebrated the 80th anniversary of Amelia Earhart visit to Augusta. Well, I asked and got my answer from a few different sources. I know know that girl is....

Gladys Chase! According to a Moose listener she is from Randolph! So, thanks to Early Wings Over Maine for this summary:

"August 14, 1934: Amelia Earhart Day at the Augusta, Maine airport. Amelia Earhart receiving flowers from 5-year-old Gladys Chase, a youngster from Augusta. Subsequently Gladys became Mrs. Gladys Brown and made her home in Augusta. The two were photographed in the doorway of a Boston & Maine Airways Stinson SM-6000. Photograph originally credited to the Kennebec Journal by David Hill of the Maine Instrument Flight School. Image subsequently credited to the collections of the Maine Aviation Historical Society."
