Windsor, ME Boy One of the Winners in Bus Safety Poster Contest

Great poster! And it’s a winner. Each year Maine kids take part in the Maine Association For Public Transportation & Maine Department of Education School Bus Safety Poster contest.  Last year’s winners were honored at the Blaine House this week with Maine’s First Lady Ann LePage.

The contest has a few perks. Winners in each of the division get a cash prize, an awards reception at the Blaine House in Augusta and the first place winners in each division will be entered in the national competition. Sweet!

This handsome young man holding his poster is Jon Bonner. Jon is a student at Windsor Elementary School. His mom, Michelle, is a friend of mine. Needless to say she is mighty proud of Jon. From what she said, Jon was looking forward to meeting Gov. LaPage.  But being the governor, he must have had state business attend to, so his wife Ann LaPage hosted the event.
