2017 Emmys Red Carpet: Photos and Live Stream
The time has come! The 69th Annual Primetime Emmy Awards will get underway this evening (Sunday, September 17), airing live on CBS from the Microsoft Theatre in Los Angeles at 8 p.m. EST.
Following in the footsteps of last year's master of ceremonies Jimmy Kimmel, first-time host Stephen Colbert will emcee the gala, which recognizes television's topliners by the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences.
Among tonight's contenders include Westworld and SNL, leading the throng with 22 nominations respectively; cult favorites House of Cards, Stranger Things and This Is Us vying for the Outstanding Drama Series Emmy; and newcomer success Big Little Lies filling out the Outstanding Actress in a Limited Series or Movie category, with The Handmaid's Tale actress Ann Dowd and Orange is the New Black alum Samira Wiley playing for the Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Drama Series statuette.
The pre-show kicks off tonight at 6 p.m. EST, so check back as we update our photo gallery with all the looks from the red carpet, up top.
