105-year-old Edythe Kirchmaier of California has never had so much as a parking ticket and she got her license during the height of Babe Ruth's career. That's enough to make most of us envious for many reasons, not the least of which is, she probably has a pretty good insurance premium.

She took her test on January 23rd, the day after her 105th birthday. For 85 years she's managed to keep her driving record spotless with no accidents, speeding tickets or parking violations. That story might not be as happy if she had to deal with Augusta's two rotaries, but I digress.

Nowadays, she drives a 1997 Dodge Caravan. When she began driving in 1927, she tooled around in a Model A Ford Coup.

It should also be noted that Edythe has been a volunteer at Direct Relief International for more than 40 years. This nonprofit's mission is to improve the health and lives of people affected by disaster, poverty and civil unrest. You can learn all about it at her Direct Relief Facebook Page.
