Camping Resort’s Pirate Ship Will Make You Feel Like A Kid Again
Even though we are in the middle of winter, there is no time like the present to start thinking about where you are going to be camping this summer. Yeah, before too long, you'll be opening the camper or RV up to make sure it is good to hit the road.
If you're looking for somewhere really unique to camp this year, you're going to want to take a drive to Moose Hillock Campground.
One of the really cool features of the campground, located in the White Mountains of New Hampshire, is the Blue Lagoon Tropical Swimming pool. Not only is it heated and lit for evening swimming, it has its own shipwreck!
Their website describes it as having an authentic Spanish Galleon that is:
an adventure for both young and old. The ship was commandeered by a group of ruthless pirates during a raging storm and ran aground within our “Blue Lagoon Tropical Swimming Pool”. Come experience for yourself the adventure of exploring this shipwreck, its Pirate Treasure and Water Cannons, along with the cave, waterfall, and slides. Kids of all ages will have a blast! Our pool is open Memorial Day weekend thru the weekend following Labor Day.
Also, throughout the summer, they set a movie screen up next to the pirate ship to create their "swim-in" movie theater.
In addition to that really cool pool, the resort features an arcade, a playground, basketball court, volleyball court, and trails for hiking and biking. And, they have weekly entertainment throughout the summer.
If you have a camper or tent, they have campsites. If you don't, they rent cabins.
You can find Moose Hillock Campground on Batchelder Brook Road in Warren, New Hampshire. It's about three hours from Central Maine, but we would suggest planning to take 4+ hours because there is so much to see and do along the way.
