Two separate car accidents yesterday (Aug. 13) in central Maine, resulted in drivers being stuck in their vehicles. Fortunately, both sustained non-life-threatening injuries.

According to centralmaine.com, 63-year-old Patti Kantor, of Fairfield, had to be extracted from her car by fire and rescue personnel after crashing into a guardrail just west of Alder Park Road in South China. She was left uninjured, but stuck in her car, which had rolled into a ditch.

In Durham, a 71-year old man hit a tree on Stackpole Road and was trapped inside the vehicle. According to WMTW, the crash remains under investigation and alcohol was a factor in the crash.
