Colonel Robert Williams, currently chief of the Maine State Police and a 30 year veteran of the state police, joined us on the Moose Morning Show. Safety on the highways is always a priority, even more so this time of year during the holidays.

Colonel Williams said that "December is a higher month than usual for highway fatalities. Last December we had 4 fatalities, and in 2009, there were 14 fatalities in December. But even one death is too many - the Maine Bureau of Highway Safety and the Maine State Police have the goal of driving toward zero deaths."

Get more information in our interview above and make sure to connect with the Maine Bureau of Highway Safety on their Facebook page and with the Maine State Police through both Facebook and Twitter.
