Yes, sometimes you meet people by chance. But sometimes you need a plan. This was one of these cases.  My friend Sharon, who is a HUGE Hugh fan, and I had tickets to see Hugh Jackman in a play called The River.  It really was a great getaway. Gees, I went to New York City, had a great dinner, saw a great play, the weather cooperated and I was with someone I enjoy, there was nothing to not enjoy.

But we showed up to the theater early.  We politely asked at the box office if Hugh had come in for the 8pm show. No, he had not. The box office guy was very cool.  Told us what time Hugh would be back and that they set up the railings to create a clear point of entry for him. WE had ALL the info we needed to make this happen. And it did.  Sharon got to meet him (again), get his picture and she gave him something he had not seen before.

For years Sharon had a license plate on her car that was an abbreviation of Hugh Jackman.  She is no longer using those plates, so she decided to give one to Hugh.  Awww. He seemed really surprised by this plate existed. After he went in we could see him showing to some other people and appeared to explaining the story.

The big bonus on all of this, the theater where we saw the play was fairly small, so every seat was perfect! Very cool!
