Even though we are still a few weeks away from Halloween, there are people who are already getting ready for Christmas.

It is the most magical time of the year, after all.  The twinkling lights, the smells, the food, the presents, and most important of all, the look of wonder of the face of a child.

In recent years we have seen elaborate light displays see a spike in popularity.

For example, Gardens Aglow at the Coastal Maine Botanical Gardens has become one of the year's most anticipated attractions.

During the pandemic, most light displays switched from 'walk-through' to 'drive-through'.  This allowed for social distancing.  After the pandemic, most switched back to being 'walk-through' attractions.  All but the largest, that is.

The Magic of Lights at Gillette Stadium

For the 4th year in a row, the enormous Holiday lights display will return to Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, Massachusetts.  Visitors will drive past elaborate displays while listening to a curated soundtrack.  In total, over two million lights are used in the display.

A press release says, in part:

Guests will enjoy Magic of Lights’ beloved displays from the comfort of their own vehicle, including the 32-foot-tall, animated Mattel’s Waving Christmas Barbie®, Prehistoric Christmas, Winter Wonderland, the 12 Days of Christmas, Toyland, the iconic BIGFOOT® Monster Truck, festive Elves and Reindeer Road. The course will also feature Magic of Lights’ signature 200-foot long Enchanting Tunnel of Lights

The attraction's newest addition is selfie filters that allow you to turn your pictures into festive family photos.

This year's Magic of Lights will be open nightly from November 22nd through Christmas night.

The price varies depending on what night you are attending.  On the weekends, Friday & Saturday, you can expect to pay $35 for a normal passenger vehicle.  The press release indicates you can get a group rate for larger vehicles, like buses.
