Portland does a really fantastic job at keeping pups hydrated, which I've always admired about this city.

In most storefronts in the Old Port you'll always find a water bowl outside their door, and we love them for it.

But there's a spot in Portland you might not have known will help hydrate your dog.

I've been running the back cove near Forest Ave for years, and I've never noticed the water fountains the city must have put in that double as pup fountains, too! T

his is the coolest thing they could have ever done. They're located more toward the road side of the whole trail, so try to picture where the softball fields are.

Once you can see those, you can also see the fountains. I think there are about three of them total over there?

You can fill your own human water bottle up with fresh water and then near the bottom of the fountain is for your pups.

Ever since I figured this out, I chose running the back cove more with my Goldendoodle Maverick, so thank you, Portland!
