Brunswick, Maine’s Great Impasta Shares Its New Location and an Opening Update

The Great Impasta in Brunswick, Maine, revealed in October that the Italian eatery had not (thankfully) closed for good but was instead relocating.

As for where and when?

Well, on December 1, The Great Impasta shared on Facebook a small update on the future.

Where is the new Great Impasta location in Brunswick, Maine?

According to an update of the original October relocation post, the popular restaurant shared that it would be moving to 11 Pleasant Street in Brunswick.

It's just off Maine Street down the road from its original location (near the library and post office).

This building was recently the home of other restaurants, including the Odd Duck, which opened in 2019 and closed in 2020, and MAIZ Colombian Street Food, which opened in 2022 and closed in 2024.

When is the new Great Impasta location in Brunswick, Maine, opening?

Unfortunately, there isn't a set date for a grand opening at the new location yet.

While The Great Impasta had shared in a comment on a Facebook post a few months ago about a hopeful November opening, that month came and went.

Likely, the place is just simply still getting work done and ready.

In the updated Facebook post, the restaurant said they "will be open again very soon and will make another post to let you know [the] exact opening date!"

The Great Impasta has been around since 1984, according to its website, and is excited to celebrate 40 years in business with the opening of the new spot.
