Meet Cheech and Chong in Portland Celebrating Their New Pot Store

Cheech Marin and Tommy Chong, known as Cheech & Chong, will be in Portland, Maine, for the opening of their new cannabis store.

Finally, a cannabis store that makes sense.

Welcome to the 'Cheech & Chong's Dispensoria' opening in Portland, Maine's Old Port on Thursday, October 10, 2024.

In a statement via WMTW, Cheech & Chong said,

Our Dispensorias are about more than just buying cannabis — they immerse you in a world where cannabis culture is celebrated with humor and fun. We wanted to create a space that's welcoming, laid-back, and makes the whole experience enjoyable from the moment you walk through the door. We wanted to give people a place where they can smile while they shop. The plant brings joy, and the space where you get it should too.

How can I meet Cheech & Chong?

On Sunday, October 13 from 2 to 4 pm, you can have a chance to meet the legendary pot smokers and comedians who have been at this since the '70s.

You must RSVP online and spend at least $100 at Cheech & Chong's Dispensoria in Portland or East Coast Gold in Bangor, Maine, to get a meet-and-greet ticket. This will be on a first-come, first-served basis. You're gonna want to show up early. The first 250 people to bring their receipt to Sunday's meet and greet will also get a limited-edition poster autographed by Cheech and Chong.
