‘Twilight Creek’ Illuminates the Night Sky in Lebanon, Maine, This Fall
Now that the fall season in Maine has arrived, all the wonderful activities that feel like the season are front and center. From apple picking to corn mazes, the season for flannels and pumpkin spice is here.
But when it comes to family-friendly activities in the evening hours, choices can be few and far between. Things tend to get haunted and scary this time of year. But an illuminated outdoor walk in Lebanon, Maine, skips the scare and puts the focus on bright lights and imagination.
It's called NYTE Walk, and it covers more than a quarter mile of trails, and features different themes built from LED lights, black lights, flood lights, and more. A carefully-curated soundtrack also keeps the walk fun and engrossing.
For this year's walk, you'll take a stroll through "Twilight Creek". As you progress on the trails, you'll come across different landscapes engulfed in rich, vibrant colors. You'll come across secret hobbit houses, elf structures and more as the secrets hidden within Twilight Creek reveal themselves.
NYTE Walk is not Halloween-themed, nor intended to be scary. It was built to be family-friendly, and all ages are welcome to traverse the area. The trail itself is comprised of wood chips and compacted gravel, making it easy to walk on.
NYTE Walk is going through Sunday, November 3. Unlike in prior years, there's availability to visit Twilight Creek during the week, including some Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday dates. You can find reservation details and available dates here.
NYTE Walk is held at 43 Prospect Hill Road in Lebanon, Maine.
