If you love the cold weather or are a ski bum, chances are, you're going to love this article.

According to the Farmer's Almanac, New England could possibly get up to one foot of wet snow on November 16 - 19.  By my calendar, that's a little less than two weeks from Thanksgiving.  That might make air travel messy for families trying to get to one another.

Messy Halloween Season for New England

The Almanac also says that it may be a messy Halloween season, weather-wise.  If we have amazing costumes, sometimes we don't want to wear a coat.  But if it's messy outside, we might have to.  That is actually a great idea for clothing manufacturers.  Why not create costumes that are also coats for withstanding 25-degree weather as we collect those huge candy bars?

Remember the nor'easter of 2011 in New England?

The Halloween storm of 2011 was something else.  I remember digging out our pumpkins that we had carved with the kids.  We were living in Manchester, New Hampshire, at the time, and I think we got over a foot of snow.  For that winter, the Almanac predicted "a very active storm track ..... (bringing) much heavier-than-normal precipitation."  Well, I'd say they got that one right.

No matter what the weather is this fall, New Englanders can handle it.  We will be ready for those fall storms, unlike the Southern states when they get the occasional snowstorm.  The only thing New Englanders really can't handle is temperatures in the '90s and above.
