Joe Cocker, the Academy and Grammy Award-winning singer passed away today (Dec. 22) after battling lung cancer.

He was probably best known for his cover of the Beatles’ ‘With a Little Help From My Friends,’ which was used as the theme to the TV show 'The Wonder Years.' Many know him from the spot-on 'Saturday Night Live' impression by John Belushi.

I remember him as one of the rock best vocalists of all-time. He's one of the few vocalists who could interpret other hits and not only make them his own, but outshine the originals. His 'Greatest Hits' CD belongs in any music lover's collection.
