Lady Gaga’s Album Sales Soar Following Super Bowl Performance
Lady Gaga's stellar Super Bowl 2017 performance not only earned the "Perfect Illusion" singer new fans, but it also resulted in a significant increase in record and album sales.
Her recent single “Million Reasons” — the only track off Gaga’s 2016 release Joanne to be included in her Super Bowl set — jumped to the top of the iTunes chart shortly after the performance and is currently holding steady at No. 1, according to Hits Daily Double.
Three of Gaga’s other past singles, “Born This Way,” “Poker Face” and "Bad Romance" — all of which she included in last night’s performance — also surged into iTunes' Top 10 chart where they’ve remained as of today (February 6).
In further good news, the “John Wayne” singer’s albums have also seen a major uptick in sales overnight. The deluxe edition of Joanne is sitting comfortably at No. 1 while the album’s standard version is at No. 3. Both editions of The Fame Monster entered the iTunes chart at No. 4 and No. 6, while Born This Way hit No. 9 and The Fame is at No. 11.
