Pedestrian Killed in Lewiston Identified

Christine Beaulieu, 53, of Lewiston, was struck early this morning (Dec. 7) in a fatal accident involving a pickup truck. The accident occurred on Lisbon Street around 6:35 a.m., near the entrance to the Lewiston Mall.

Gaeton Bergeron, 33, of Lewiston, was the driver of the pickup truck.

Investigators say that Beaulieu was not in the crosswalk when she was hit. Bergeron was not injured.

Lisbon Street from Eastern Avenue to Maple Street was closed for a good part of the morning while police reconstructed the accident.

The investigation is ongoing.
