Augusta Dog Park

The Augusta Dog Park is hosting its spring clean up on Saturday April 22 from 8:30a to Noon.  It has been a long winter and now with green grass and nice weather the Augusta Dog Park needs some love.

Francois Roodman is the animal control officer for the city of Augusta and is one of the driving forces behind the Winter Fun Day at the Augusta Dog Park this (Feb. 19) Sunday. Thank you to everyone who showed up and cleaned and raked and made the Augusta Dog Park Clean Up Day a totally success.Jon and Mac jumped right in raking and scooping up the 'stuff''. You might have heard us talking on the Moose Morning Show about the recent troubles at the Augusta Dog Park. It is temporarily shut down.

The Augusta Dog Park has a problem with what I call the ‘poo-poo heads’. They are the people who do not pick up after their dogs. As a result the Augusta Dog Park is temporarily shut down. It was a sad day for the all-volunteer Augusta Dog Park Committee to make the recommendation to the city. But it was needed.
