While it won't make the snowmobile trails any better in Central Maine, it will be enough to cause a bit of a headache for Tuesday evening travelers in the region.
It looks like another pretty big winter storm is preparing to move into the Pine Tree State later today. Fortunately (or unfortunately?) it's not going to come in the form of several inches of snow.
The Maine Department of Environmental Protection's Air Quality Bureau has even gone so far as to issue an air quality alert through Tuesday here in the Pine Tree State.
The high today should peak at about 93 degrees mid-day, but the heat index (or reverse wind chill as I call it) will make it feel closed to 100 degrees.
Might we recommend making plans to be at a Maine beach, pool or maybe even out on the boat in the coming days? It's going to be getting pretty toasty here in the Sunshine State. Oops, that's Florida, Maine is the Pine Tree State, but we might as well use both slogans for the upcoming week...
