It's no secret I love donuts. I have always heard the story of how the donut hole was invented by a sailor sticking fried dough on a ship's wheel. However, I never knew that helmsman was from Maine.

The travel site, Fodors, has named The Holy Donut in Portland, as one of the Top 10 doughnut shops in America.

If you have kids, somewhere along the line, they will say something that will embarrass you in public. It's a given. It's understood. However, the owner of a doughnut shop in Connecticut doesn't seem to get it.
Whenever I stop at Dunkin donuts on Bangor Street in Augusta, it's early in the morning. Usually, I can count on seeing Brandi or Kelsey or, on a day like today, both. I especially love these days!
There's also a guy who works there some mornings who sounds like Napoleon Dynamite. He's friendly too. But, I digress...
