We had so much fun on our mini-vacation this week! Yesterday (7-8-18) we wrapped up the weekend at Funtown/Splashtown with our friends Joey + Monique and all our kiddos.
Summer is coming. It has to be. Even though the thermostat isn't showing it, the grass is getting greener, the trees are budding, I'm reading on Facebook about people pulling ticks off of themselves and Funtown Splashtown opens for the season this weekend...
Get ready to get a tour of our great state like you've never had before. This amazing Google Earth flyover will take you all over Maine in under five minutes. You'll get amazing perspective on places like:

So far my vacation has been a whirlwind of activity, painting, Funtown and a day trip to Bangor, but the second half is going to be slower with just maybe a trip to North Conway with Lynn's cousin and her kids.
After The Made in Maine Expo tomorrow and tomorrow night's show I begin my vacation. Unlike my last one a few weeks ago this one will be more of a "staycation." Not that we wont do anything fun or go places but it will be more chill.
One thing we promised the kids for this summer is a day trip to Funtown-Splashtown USA. And we're thinking either this weekend or on a vacation day in a couple weeks. Either way we'll get a nice day coming up, I'm sure.
Wow. Spring is here. Tourist season is only a few short weeks away. Some of the summer businesses are beginning to wake up from hibernation. Next weekend, Mother’s Day weekend, the Funtown rides turn again. Yes, Funtown opens on May 11, 2013. Splashtown however won’t open until mid June.
One of my favorite places to take the kids is Funtown/Splashtown USA in Saco, Maine. You've heard the jingle if you live locally and if you do live close you're probably singing it right now. Sadly, the founder of one of the most fun places in Maine has passed away. Kenneth Cormier died in Celebration, Florida in the hospital after battling a brief illness at 80 years old.
