When I was growing up in Auburn, we would often go to Pettingill Park and spend hours upon hours in the public playground. This past weekend, I went to a local playground with my friend and his young son and it dawned on my how much they have changed.

Well, the Windsor Fair is here. Since I was a kid, the fair has marked the end of summer, despite what the calendar says. Back to school, close the pool, store the boat, sell the goat. Okay, that last one was just complete the rhyming thing I had going.
Every morning Vikki and I hang out, sometimes we do puzzles and sometimes we play games, like Memory, her Minnie Mouse game or maybe Connect Four. We always have fun and she always wins. Is it alright to let a three-year-old win most of the time?
Every school I know and have been around has a “zero tolerance” policy towards guns and this includes toy guns, so I have to agree with suspending the student for bringing a squirt gun to school. Remember Tamagotchi? The handheld digital pet, which you raised from an egg to an adult creature, was all the rage in the '90s.
Now it's back, as an app.
The public has spoken and Monopoly will cast away the boring old iron token, a symbol of domestic housework from a simpler time (it's not even an electric iron), which has been included in the board game for almost 80 years.
In its place will be a cat. Hey, are you really that surprised? The internet loves cats.
