The "An Act to Require Edible Landscaping in a Portion of Capitol Park" passed in both the house and senate and is governor's signature away from becoming the law of the land.
Lawmakers who support an effort to bring edible landscaping to historic Capitol Park in Augusta said it will help ease hunger, raise awareness of the importance of agriculture and show support for local farmers.
