Gov. LePage will give his 2nd State of the State speech this evening, February 5th.  LePage, a Republican, will address the Democratic-majority joint session of the House and Senate with his speech about the accomplishments and his goals. The State of the State address is scheduled for 7 p.m.

Friday, Governor Paul LePage read "Baxter in the Blaine House," at St. John's School in Winslow. Baxter is the LePage's dog and is becoming quite well known thanks to this book about him. Personally, I haven't yet read the book so I did what I like to do. I wrote my own version of it and present it to you here today. Enjoy!

A mural depicting labor history that Gov. Paul LePage ordered removed from the lobby of the Maine Department of Labor is going back on display in Augusta. It will not be at the labor department. It was announced that the mural will set up in the in the atrium of the Cultural Building. That is the entry area for the Maine State Museum, Library and Archives.

Maine will let the federal government take the lead in setting up a mandated online health insurance market.  States had to decide whether to set these exchanges up or let the federal government do it for them. Maine Gov. Paul LePage said “he is not lifting a finger,” and “we’re going to let Mr. Obama do a federal exchange. It’s his bill.”
