It was a great day in Augusta on Saturday (June 27) at 'Kid's Day in Capitol Park.' There were so many events and performances for families to enjoy thanks to the Kennebec Valley Camber of Commerce. We were proud to host the Dance Stage. Right near us, the Augusta Fire Department did a few demonstrations. One of them included showing how a car is taken apart in an accident.

The place to be in Augusta this Saturday (6/27) from 11-3 is at Capitol Park on the Union Street Side! It's 'Kids Day' and will feature a ton of activities, including the Rat Race Obstacle Course and face painting. And, except for food and drink, it's all free!

It's a bittersweet time at the Kennebec Valley Chamber. Peter Thompson is an icon in the area representing the chamber as President for the past 26 years. Peter is now helping with the transition to new President Ross Cunningham.
