There may be towns in Maine that you suspect were named after U.S. presidents. Towns like Washington, Jefferson, Madison, Jackson, Lincoln, and Harrison come to mind. However, not all of the towns actually were named after U.S. presidents.

After growing up in New Hampshire and living in Maine for the last 25 years, you'd think I’d heard of every town by now—but nope. Turns out, Maine and New Hampshire share at least seven town names. Same name, totally different personalities.
