Well, now that we've had the 'snow' part of winter, buckle up for the 'cold' part of winter, cuz it's-a-comin'.

Did we ever get our annual thaw in January? I don't think we did. However worry not, because a mid-week February thaw is on its way to Maine.

The remnants of tropical storm Fred will impact much of Maine over the next couple of days bringing rain.. lots and lots of rain.

The Maine Department of Environmental Protection's Air Quality Bureau has even gone so far as to issue an air quality alert through Tuesday here in the Pine Tree State.

At the time of writing this post (5:30 AM) , CMP is only reporting about 320 customers without power across the state of Maine
