Madison Taylor of Maranacook Community High School has been accepted into the prestigious 'Normandy: Sacrifice for Freedom® Albert H. Small Student & Teacher Institute.' Along with Shane Gower, Maranacook Community High School teacher, Taylor will be doing a year-long course of study that concludes with a journey to Normandy, France to honor a WWII Silent Hero® who died during or after the D-D

Enjoy a bake sale and craft fair Saturday, Jan. 25, 9am – 2pm at the Maranacook High School Student Center & Gym in Readfield. Proceeds will support the local 8th grade class trip to the American Heritage Tour.

Elizabeth McKenney has, once again, organizes a great line up of concerts at Norcross Point, on Bowdoin Street, in Winthrop. The shows are free and can be viewed on land or aboard a boat on Maranacook Lake. These waterfront concerts happen from 2 to 4 every Sunday (weather permitting) and are sponsored by the town of Winthrop along with Kennebec Savings Bank and Winthrop Area Federal Credit Union

Help out a great cause and get some really cool stuff Saturday, March 30 at the 'Maranacook Project Graduation Auction & Dinner.' Maine Humorist Gary Crocker will be the auctioneer, so you know it's going to be fun too!
