Are you buried in? Do you still have power? 'Storm Nemo' has hit central Maine with a vengeance with blizzard conditions and a couple feet of snow. We're going to be dealing with the drifting conditions and low visibility as the storm winds down and we dig out. Let's share in our misery, or joy, depending on how much you love the new white stuff.

Blizzard Nemo or not…the dog needed to out. So, we did. Here are a few shots from my driveway and the front of my house in Augusta. The house faces north so we get some ‘interesting’ designs from the snow when the wind blows. Sorry, no ShadowDog in the snow pictures, it’s too darn cold, dark and windy for that right now...

The commute on the way into Augusta today from Auburn at around 10 a.m. wasn’t too bad at least the roads were okay. The visibility was a bit of an issue but over all I made it in about an hour just slightly longer than the usual 45-50 minutes it takes me to get to or from.

As we wait for the latest storm of the century to bear down on Maine, I am left to contemplate the fact that this huge storm is named after A DISNEY FISH?

With the storm of the century, 'Nemo,' coming tomorrow, what other storms from years passed do you recall? I remember a storm back in 1997 on April 1st.

You may have heard that it is winter in Maine and we are expecting a big snow storm this weekend. Those things happen. What is new is that apparently winter storms are getting names. This big storm that is expected to bring us one to two feet of snow is being called “Nemo.”  Really?
