To appeal to the people of North Korea, 'Last Week Tonight' host John Oliver, asked "Weird Al" Yankovic to write an accordion-based tune about how Americans are not that bad.
Maybe it was just a big ole publicity stunt! Sony Pictures announced Tuesday (Dec. 23) that it will release the movie 'The Interview' to a limited number of theaters on Christmas Day. This comes less than a week after it canceled the release after a cyberattack on Sony, blamed on North Korea...
This decision to pull the movie "The Interview" from release is so insane to me. It is probably a knee-jerk reaction, but I feel the need to say something on the matter.
I don’t know whether to be nervous for him, feel betrayed by him or just observe it as another celebrity doing something insane. Not only is Dennis Rodman over in North Korea playing basketball for exhibition and charity, but Rodman is also bowing and singing ‘Happy Birthday’ to North Korean leader Kim Jong Un, what's that about? I guess to ensure a return plane ticket home.
There are many things I don’t understand in life and one of them is Ex-Chicago Bulls and Celebrity "reality" show star Dennis Rodman and his trips to North Korea. He is back there again with a basketball team made up of US citizens. Actually I don’t understand why anyone would want to go there except maybe a journalist to expose real life in North Korea.
When they’re not busy eating one another, the North Koreans have a real fondness for creating trippy self-promotion videos; it's kind of their thing. They may have outdone themselves with this new one, though, which features a man peacefully dreaming about launching a rocket attack on New York City—complete with graphics straight from 'Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3.'
