A big tip o' the Moose antlers to Lindsay Ball! She's from Benton and is a recent grad from the University of Maine at Farmington. Lindsay was born visually impaired and is preparing to head to Sochi as a member of the U.S. Paralympic Alpine Skiing Team.

Oscar Pistorious, South Africa's "Bladerunner," who competed in London last summer in the Olympics, has my attention. He's taken an unfortunate situation (having two prosthetic legs) and has, against all odds, become a winner to the extent that most of us can only dream of.
