When you are as moved as we are by this very sad incident in Augusta, it is good to know that there is a place to go and be of loving assistance to the family that lost their loved ones. If you can't make it to the Red Barn in person, they will be accepting donations over the phone on Monday as well. Please call 207-623-9485.
Laura Benedict, the owner of The Red Barn, has been giving back to the community for as long as I can remember. She and her amazing staff have the most genuine hearts, and they live to give back to their communities. From fundraising for local sports clubs to helping families who lost love ones, Laura never stops short of amazing...
This Saturday December 2nd from 12pm to 8pm there will be a fundraising event at the mill at 934 Main St in Vasselboro. It includes raffles, vendors and local food from The Red Barn and desserts from the China Dine-ah as well as a paint night.
To say that The Red Barn in Augusta cares, would be a huge understatement. If you live in Central Maine, there's a pretty good chance that Laura and her crew have served you some delicious food, and more likely than not, have helped out you, a friend, or relative with one of their countless fundraisers...
Laura Benedict from the Red Barn & Brent Crisci from United Martial Arts Academies joined the Moose Morning Show to talk about the Riding Steel Bikers against bullying benefit, this afternoon Wed., May 18.
Laura Benedict (I call her the "amazing chickeneer," because of the way she engineers bits of tender chicken into a kind of "poultry crack" product), is getting ready to start another season of raising big money with her Red Barn Cares Foundation.
This past summer while riding a motorcycle to raise money for the Shriner's Children's Hospital, our Augusta Police Chief, Robert (Bob) Gregoire, was seriously injured in an accident.
While the chief's wife, Cathy, along with Sgt. Chris Shaw, were also injured in the two bike crash, it was Bob who was most critically hurt. He sustained a neck injury that has left him partially paralyzed.
