Last night, Fairpoint management and their employees couldn’t come to an agreement over a contract and so the telephone and internet providing company went on strike.
Raising minimum wage looks to be a big subject right now, I just wrote about Massachusetts sending a bill through the State House with an attempt to get it to $11 dollars an hour and now New York City fast food worker are walking off the jobs saying that they want $15 an hour as a minimum wage.
Hostess Brands says it's going out of business, closing plants that make Twinkies and Wonder Bread and laying off all of it's 18,500 workers. The company made the announcement early Friday morning.
