We are so happy to announce that we will be hosting our 2nd annual Camp Out Hunger this November at Sam's Club in Augusta!

Donating to the United Way's COVID-19 fund is a great way to help those affected (economically and otherwise) by the outbreak

The Augusta Warming Center will open for the winter on Nov. 1. The community space is one of the few safe freely accessible escapes from the cold for local residents.

If you have an old computer around that you don't know what to do with, well Saturday (Oct. 1) you can get rid of it and help out a great cause. Today (Dec. 15) is the opening day for the new Augusta Community Warming Center. Their is a a new location is at St. Mark’s Parish Hall at 9 Pleasant St. It is also the home to the Augusta Food Bank, Addie’s Attic clothing bank and Every Day Basics...

The Kennebec Leadership Institute annually takes on a major project in the Kennebec Valley area and this year, they are looking to help the Augusta Boys & Girls Club.

Last week 30 Gardiner residents were displaced due to a fire in a 28-unit apartment on Highland Avenue. Efforts are now underway by the community to help the tenants who lived in the senior housing complex.

The Augusta Community Warming Center is open every day until March 31, 2015, from 9am to 4pm. Supported by the United Way of Kennebec Valley, the 'Warming Center' will be open from 9am to 4pm for those seeking a warm and safe escape from the cold.

Friday (Dec. 5) morning a fire at an 18-unit apartment building on Northern Avenue in Augusta left 7 injured and 27 homeless. They need our help. You can make a monetary donation by writing a check payable to the United Way of Kennebec Valley...

We had Black Friday, Small Business Saturday, Cyber Monday and now #GivingTuesday. Tuesday, December 2 is a global day dedicated to giving back to charities and the community. Celebrate generosity and give back.

Rob Gordon is a friend.  To me, personally, yes.  But also to you.  Maybe in a personal way but, if not, certainly in a "community way."  As executive director of the United Way of Kennebec Valley, his mission is to execute the goals of an organization that helps so many groups that, if they don't help one you're involved with, then you must not be involved in much!
