Taylor Swift positively dazzled in a gold Oscar de le Renta party frock at the Robert F. Kennedy Center for Justice and Human Rights 2012 Ripple of Hope fete, which was held at The New York Marriott Marquis last night (Dec. 3) in NYC. The singer was honored by the Kennedy family, even though she is only a few months removed from her split with family member Conor. How awkward was this situation?

Turns out, it was not uncomfortable at all. That is, if you believe those diplomatic, super nice Kennedys.

But first things first. Swift has been knocking 'em dead on red carpets lately. She shone in a striped Kate Spade frock in Los Angeles and this short-sleeved, short-hemmed dress, which showed off those gorgeous gams and complimented her porcelain skin, turned our heads with it's leaf-like overlay. It's like someone sprinkled gold dust all over her bodice. It's also a silhouette she is most comfortable with, as we've seen it on her multiple times this year.

Know who else's head this look probably turned? That of her new BF, One Direction cutie Harry Styles! Those two were spotted clutching hands at 4AM in NYC, so Swift made a mad dash to be with him after her ex's family bestowed an honor on her for her activism and her commitment to social change.

Oh, T. Swizzle. You live the life. We hope that the Directioner death threats don't flood your Facebook and Twitter.

Her actions beg the question. Was it tacky for her to hang with the Kennedy family even though she and Conor are no more and she moved on with the hottest member of the hottest boy band on earth?

Nah!

Swift accepted the award from members of his family, including Conor's dad, Robert F. Kennedy, Jr., and Patrick Kennedy said she is still held in high regard by the family. "Taylor is a friend of the family and still is," Conor's uncle told Us Weekly. "To speak for my Aunt Ethel and the whole family, that friendship and her support for Robert Kennedy's legacy is something that we're very grateful for."

So the Kennedys still love Taylor and harbor no hard feelings. Um, did anyone stop and ask young Conor how he feels? Or perhaps he is enjoying status as the BMOC (aka big man on campus) at his school, since he dated T. Swizz? Go forth and discuss.
