More Snow is on the way with Winter Storm Skylar. Weather.com there is a winter storm warning in effect and Maine could see another foot to foot and a half of snow.

Rockland Police received information that a man had made threatening statements on social media toward Oceanside High School. They told the school department the threat poses no danger to the students. But there will be more of a presence at the Rockland schools today.

Officials with a Maine school district that had warned students not to participate in a national gun violence protest are changing their position. SAD 13, the Bingham are, said anyone taking part in the March 14 demonstration would face disciplinary action. WABI reports  they will allow an alternative so students who want to express their views are able to do it. The nationwide walkouts follow the Feb. 14 Parkland, Florida, shooting.

An Augusta study says converting Water Street to two-way traffic would cost about 10 parking spaces with a price tag of about $75,000.  Centralmaine.com reports the downtown merchants were split on the proposal.

Centralmaine.com reports  voters in AOS 92, Vassalboro, Waterville and Winslow, vote tomorrow on a referendum on doing away with the AOS and going to three independent school systems.
