If you are in Auburn and you like your police department as close as you mobile device, there's an app for that! Auburn Police Department is the latest Maine agency to join the My Police Department application for Android and iPhone users.

Information will go both ways. You, as the user, can submit police tips, commend officers, contact personnel, and post questions. Police can send alerts, post information on parking bans, post tweets, and send out other information through the application. Sounds cool to me.
