Work on State Street in Augusta is Almost Done

I was reading this morning in the Kennebec Journal that the road work being done with State Street in Augusta is nearly done. The crews are getting ready to paint the lines on the road. But, things will be a bit different. It will be three lanes and a center turn lane.

I think I am not alone in my feeling of  "please, just get it done."  It seems like all the major roads in or out of Augusta are being worked on or really need to be worked on.  Maybe it is just me, but there just seems to be a lot of road work and projects in Augusta.
